*If you have any idea as to what to name this project (other than "The Polaroid Project"), I would appreciate suggestions.

This is my first journal entry although I've had this account for over a year.

I'm not updating as much as I hoped, but I'm working on an ongoing polaroid project. I hope I will be able to select 10 photos to summarize the whole project. I am doing this project through type 600 polaroid film - yes, the instant film people have come to know and love... and will soon have to part ways with.

I'm doing this project for several reasons - making valuable use for my polaroid OneStep 600 camera before 600 instant film becomes unavailable (Doomsday is expected to be somewhere in the first quarter of 2009), the number of significant events and emotions I will experience this summer (documentary of the bridge between high school and college and the summer in between), familiarize myself to a "non-photographer mindset" (somewhat forgetting about composition and just shooting for significant events) and just a genuine longing for working with film somehow (I haven't worked with film since April/May but I miss it incredibly).

This is going to be expensive but I hope the final result will be worth the sacrifice.

I have to keep some sort of tangible record of this so it's not floating around my head waiting to be forgotten. Ignore if you please.
